Many seniors struggle with senioritis and have a hard time with balancing out school work, sports and a part time job. For senior and Valedictorian Lucy Kaiser, she has found a way to balance it all.

“I joined the swim team this year,” Kaiser said.
Kaiser is good at balancing out her school work with all of her activities.
“I try to get most of my homework done at school so that I’m not going home and doing a bunch of schoolwork,” Kaiser said.
While Kaiser is, and has taken many hard classes, she finds a way to balance all of it out through her dedication.
Kaiser is going for the IB diploma, which requires a lot of hard courses, including lots of homework. BC Calculus being one of the hardest and most challenging class she has taken.
“I took it sophomore year and had to miss a bunch of school that year for doctors appointments, so I had a really hard time passing BC Calc,” Kaiser said.
Kaiser is a hardworking student and also very outgoing. Friends of Kaiser speak highly of her character.
“Lucy can always tell the positives in situations and she always has a lot of energy,” senior Lillian Tabor said.
Kaiser has many big influences in her life, such as her Spanish teacher Erin Lizer.
Another big person in her life is her best friend from camp.
Kaiser plans on attending Washington University in St. Louis in the fall. Kaiser is on track to graduate with the IB diploma, keeping her motivated through her senior year.
Kaiser hopes to become a doctor in the future.
“Hopefully, [in the next 10-20 years] I’ll have finished med school and be starting my residency,” Kaiser said.
Kaiser is ready for this next chapter of her life.
“I’m really excited to be studying more concentrated things that I want to study. I really want to be taking classes in medicine and things like that,” Kaiser said.
While Kaiser is excited for her career in the future, she is also excited about the social aspect.
“I’m excited to meet new people and try new activities,” Kaiser said.
