Saturday Science is back for the duration of March from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. every Saturday. It gives elementary-aged kids in the community the opportunity to come to NC and learn about science.

Many of the science teachers are involved, and each has their own lesson and lab activity.

Students are urged to volunteer, as they can get the service or tutoring hours necessary for National Honor Society. Volunteers help direct kids in the labs and are provided breakfast and lunch. Junior Sophia Chambers has helped with Saturday Science for two years.

“My experience at Saturday Science has been great. I love being with the teachers and kids, and of course getting pizza at the end,” Chambers said.
