Boys soccer team battles it out with Carmel

The boys soccer team has three wins, three ties and three losses. They played well against Carmel Sept. 11.

Boys soccer and Carmel have tied 0-0 on Carmel’s senior night. This is a step-up from last years defeat at home.

The team had many opportunities to take the lead but failed to capitalize on easy chances. Carmel also had a few chances but the boys soccer team played better overall and had better chemistry on the field.

The game was physical with many yellow cards, fouls and verbal altercations throughout the match. The officiating was questionable with many calls that could’ve cost both teams in the long run, but they held themselves together.

The boys soccer team is getting close to sectionals and they’re going to have to step their game up if they want to take home their eighth state championship.
