Tik Tok directs content to individuals

TikTok is a popular platform in the modern media. It is an app where you can record videos that are up to three minutes long. It is popular from ages 10-19. On average most people record lip-syncing and dancing videos.

Many people make money on TikTok from joining their Creator Fund. Those who join must be at least 18 years old, meet a baseline of 10,000 followers and have acquired at least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. I think it’s hard to get into the TikTok Creator Fund because essentially you need to go viral on a video to get more views and followers.

The “For You” page has videos that are related to the videos that you like and give hearts to. Depending on what you like to watch and what you give hearts to is what is going to come up on your For You page.

Recently, a lot of creators have been getting their videos taken down for violating the TikTok Community Guidelines. TikTok is very strict for creators under the age of 18. It is common for videos to get taken down if you are underage and are wearing a bathing suit in a video, they don’t allow Direct Messages if you are under the age of 16 and you have the option to make your account public and private.

Overall I think TikTok is a fun app for everyone to enjoy because you have the ability to customize your account to how you like it, and your feed to what you enjoy watching.
