Journalist shares opinion on Trump’s impeachment

President Donald J. Trump is the only president in the history of the United States to be impeached twice. Yesterday, January 13, 2021 the House of Representatives impeached President Trump for inciting the Capitol Hill riot on January 6, 2021.

The democratic house members, as well as 10 republican representatives voted to impeach President Trump giving the the simple majority needed of 217 votes to approve the impeachment.

Although the impeachment is finalized, President Trump is still in office and will most likely remain in office (unless the Senate votes him out) until the inauguration of President Biden on January 20th.

Following the impeachment of President Trump, rumors have popped up saying that the democrats had impeached him to stop the investigation on Capitol Hill. CNN reported on Wednesday that investigators are finding evidence that the riot was in fact planned and not just a protest that got out of hand.

Not only are investigators finding evidence of this, but Rudy Giuliani claims that Antifa is behind the “key violence” at the Capitol and claims that there is evidence that will soon be reported to the U.S. attorney general.

The democrats have been pushing to impeach President Trump ever since he stepped foot in office in 2016. When the Capitol Hill riot occurred the democrats jumped on his case immediately, giving them a realistic case to impeach the president.

The impeachment happened quick enough that the evidence couldn’t not be reported and finalized before the HOR to vote on impeachment. In their point of view the democrats did a good job to achieve that goal to impeach President Trump.

The riot on the Capitol was an un-American act on our own soil that needs to be taken care of as soon as possible whether President Trump incited it or it was a planned attack on our Capitol.
