Friends, family and coaches all gathered in the Performance Arts Center on Tuesday to congratulate some of Nc’s top athletes.

On signing day, students signalled their intent to enroll and play a sport at a college are recognized.

Among the athletes recognized were football players Harry Ochs and Jamichael Watts. Both were members of the 2018 Sectional Championship team and critical components of the football team.

Ochs will attend Brown University, who competes in the Ivy League and Watts will be studying and playing at Dodge City College in Kansas.

Two athletes will be going to Wabash College, Brian McAuley and Jakob Faber. Faber plays soccer and has been on two Regional and County Championship teams in his time at NC.

McAuley will be attending Wabash to play tennis, following his Indiana High School State title in 2015 and two other second place finishes in 2016 and 2018.

Collin Stonebraker, four year member of the varsity lacrosse team, committed to Trine University in Angola, Ind. to continue his lacrosse and academic careers.

Kirezi Freddy, who has been a member of the varsity soccer team for all four years and was recently named a 2018 All-American, will attend IUPUI in Downtown Indianapolis next fall.

Swimmer Ashley Glesing will be attending Eastern Illinois University. Glesing set the 200M relay school record and has qualified for state two times.
