Students prepare for Lil Uzi Vert concert

On Aug 17 at 6:30 p.m., artists Lil Uzi Vert, G-Eazy and Ty Dolla $ign are coming to perform at Ruoff Music Center. G-Eazy and Ty Dolla $ign will perform first, leading into the Lil Uzi Vert encore.

Lil Uzi Vert, real name Symere Woods, is a renowned hip hop artist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His most popular albums are “Luv is Rage 2,” “Luv is Rage,” “The Perfect Luv Tape” and “Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World.”

According to Billboard, Lil Uzi went platinum with albums “Luv is Rage,” “Luv is Rage 2,” “Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World,” and with songs “Money Longer” and “XO TOUR Llif3.” He is notorious for his energetic performances and his outgoing personality.

Gerald Earl Gillum, artistic name G-Eazy from Oakland, California introduces Uzi with his acclaimed albums “When It’s Dark Out,” featuring popular songs “Me, Myself & I” and “Some Kind of Drug.”

Ty Dolla $ign, real name Tyrone William Griffin Jr. will be accompanying Lil Uzi Vert and G-Eazy. Ty Dolla $ign is best known for his good vibing songs such as “Pineapple,” “Or Nah” and “Sucker for Pain.”

Students are excited to see these performers live.

Junior Jacquelyn Harvey was most excited to hear the album live.

“I am looking forward to seeing him live, I am most excited to hear XO Tour Llif3,” Harvey said.

Junior Marvin Braxton will be attending his second live concert for Lil Uzi.

“This is not my first Lil Uzi Vert concert. I went last year or maybe two years ago,” Braxton said.

Braxton is going again because he love it so much the first time.

“It was so fun the first time, I couldn’t pass it up,” Braxton said.
