Boys Track and Field wins MIC Indoors

Boys+Track+and+Field+wins+MIC+Indoors

On March 3, the North Central Track and Field team ran at indoor MIC at Depauw University. North Central was victorious against Carmel, Warren Central, Center Grove, Lawrence North, Lawrence Central, Pike, and Ben Davis. This was the first time the boys track team won MIC indoors in school history.
Events at the meet included the 60 meter dash, 60 meter hurdles, 4X400 meter relay, DMR (Distance Medley Relay), 4X200 meter relay, 4X800 meter relay, Long Jump, High Jump and Shot Put.
North Central took first place in the girls 4X400 meter relay, boys 4X400 meter relay, Distance Medley Relay, and Shot Put which was won by junior Ethan Alyea.
The boys 4X400 team was made up of senior Cole Maguire, senior Malcolm Corbett, senior Martel Johnson, and junior Jon Dean-Loureiro, and they ran a 3:25:26.
Cole Maguire also ran the 60 meter hurdles where he took 3rd place with a 8.44. In the preliminaries, he ran a 8.58.
The 3200 had two representatives from North central; Jack Hawes and Ian Cummings who both placed in the top 6.
The 60 meter dash also had two representatives with Isaiah Moore and Tony Turner.
