With The Addams Family musical just around the corner, tech week is about to begin. Tech week is the week leading up to opening night when the actors, orchestra, stage management, props, lighting, and more all come together.

Tech week is a very stressful time for director Nathan Shewell and music director Michael Raunick.

“Tech week is a very stressful time because you are putting multiple elements who have been working alone together and trying to make them all work in unison” Shewell said.

“We have 3 days to unite actors, costumes, deck crew, fly crew, orchestra, lighting, sound effects, microphones, set pieces, and much more.”

Tech week begins Monday, Nov. 6th with a rehearsal from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Opening night is Thursday, Nov. 9th which gives the cast and crew three rehearsals to perfect the show.

“We are really excited for everything to come together and for everyone to see all the hard work we have put in these past few months!” said Seniors Chase Infiniti and Carly Gundaker.
