Q: Where did you commit to?
A: I committed to swim for Vanderbilt University.
Q: Why did you end up committing to Vanderbilt University?
A: I committed to Vanderbilt because of the excellent academics and athletics. Vanderbilt is in the SEC which is an extremely competitive athletics conference and is nationally ranked top 15 academic school. Vanderbilt has the best of academics and athletics ad Nashville, Tennessee is such a wonderful city.
Q: What other schools were you looking at?
A: I looked at Dartmouth College, University of Chicago, Northwestern University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, the California Institute of Technology, Rice University, and Purdue University. In the end I received offers from both Dartmouth and Vanderbilt, and I choose Vanderbilt.
Q: What was the deciding factor on choosing Vanderbilt and what your favorite part of Vanderbilt University?
A: The deciding factor for picking Vanderbilt was its location, coaching staff, and academics. I love Nashville, it is such a great city with lots of great things going on. The coaching staff and team are so positive and creating a great culture in which I will thrive. Vanderbilt is a top 15 academic school and I look forward to studying math while I am on campus.
Q: What are you most looking forward to at Vanderbilt University?
A: I am most looking forward to getting to train with my new teammates and exploring Nashville. The food at Vanderbilt is excellent I also look forward to enjoying the delicious Smoothie King.
