The girls swimming team holds preliminary races for sectionals today, February 6, at Lawrence North at 6 p.m.. This season, the team’s record is 5-2 in dual meets. They also placed first in the Marion County Tournament, first in the Bulldog Relays and second place at the MIC Championship.
Depending on how individual swimmers place tonight, they can qualify for the sectional championships on Saturday, also held at Lawrence North. In order to swim on Saturday, swimmers must place in the top sixteen in their respective event.
The boys swimming team follows a different schedule than the girls, beginning sectionals on February 20 at NC.
