The boys tennis team is ready to kick off their season and hopes to capture the state title they’ve been looking for. Last year they were defeated by Carmel in the state championship. Their first match is against Fishers on August 21.
This year they are being led by seniors Ian Brady, Max Simmel, Carter Bailey and junior Ajay Mahenthiran. They will be looking to lead the team to a title.
“Our goal is to come together as a team, make it like a family and win a state title,” Brady said.
The team has mostly home games, which they will hope to use to its advantage which they will use to their advantage. Brady wants his teammates, along with the crowd, to have high energy during matches.
“I expect everyone to come out everyday with the same energy and drive to get better and to be super hype at the matches,” Brady said.
