The Counterpoints and Descants hope to continue their success of recent years in their kickoff concert this Sunday, Dec. 16, at 3:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Methodist Church on 86th street. The concert, known as Joyful Sounds, features both the Counterpoints and Descants performances which fill up the auditorium and are well worth one’s time.
The Counterpoints have received recognition nationwide for their extravagant outfits, dances, and stunning voices. The choir is led by co-president seniors Ben Price, Tatum Parker and Devyn Townsend who intend to lead the choir to another successful year.
This is Ben Price’s third year in Counterpoints.
“We have a lot of new and talented people this year and we’re ready to improve on last years success,” Price said.
Although, last year was successful with a state championship and a 1st place finish in the national competition.
The Descants and Counterpoints performance is highly anticipated by those involved, so if you are free Sunday, it will be well worth your time to go and attend the choir performance free of charge.
