This is the first year the MYP personal project is being presented to all sophomores. The resources available to sophomores for the personal project are vast including an early release day to work alongside their teacher mentors.
Teachers are assigned a small group of sophomores to help them work through the personal project. Four times a year school is let out early to work on these projects. All other grade levels are given the opportunity to go home and catch up on homework or get ahead in their classes.
The month of September has North Central’s first early-release day of the 2016-2017 school year. Each of these days lets students out at 1:30 instead of the normal 2:40 schedule.
The early release dates are as followed:
- September 22nd
- November 3rd
- February 2nd
- March 23rd
