Blue Sushi Sake Grill hits it out of the park

Sushi is a unique food in western culture. You either love sushi or hate it; there is no in between. I personally like the taste. However, some of my friends despise the food.
Sushi is also a very delicate food to make. It takes a trained cook to know how to perfectly assemble and plate this cuisine. In short, sushi is a very tough food to not only sell but also to make. It’s a complex food that Blue Sushi Sake Grill looks to serve you.
Blue Sushi Sake Grill is located on 2721 E 86th, Indianapolis, IN. It’s in the Ironworks plaza where restaurants are packed nearly every weekend. You will for sure be greeted with a decent sized crowd when entering the sake grill.
Inside you will be greeted with an eastern Asian vibe. Lanterns are strung from the ceiling and monk statues are plastered all around. Chinese lettering and paper origami are seen on every corner of the room. Last but not least, a giant mural of an octopus is placed at the back of the restaurant.
The service is very high quality. You are seated within minutes and greeted by a menu. As stated above, the menu specializes in sushi. From the California Roll to the Spicy Tekka, each meal has its own variety and ingredients. There is also an array of Asian styled dishes from crab rangoon to fish.
I ordered the classic California Roll; sushi that is filled with crab, avocado and cucumber. I also ordered the Mango Crab Rangoon a roll filled with crab, cream, and garlic and topped with mango sauce. I know, it’s a lot of crab for one meal.
The Mango Crab Rangoon is a great entree to begin your meal. It comes out quick from the kitchen and right on to the table in minutes. The hard shell is crunchy and the mango sauce has a nice tangy flavor. Inside of the pastry is beautifully cooked crab that combines well with the sauce. The flavors melt in your mouth to make for a great entree.
Next up on the table was the California Roll. Let me begin with the presentation of the dish. The plate was beautifully organized with sushi side by side. The wasabi and ginger are beautifully placed on the side. Overall, the look of the sushi itself is jaw dropping.
The most important part however is the taste itself. When you taste sushi all the ingredients have to blend well. From the protein to the vegetables and rice. And Blue Sushi perfects all of these. The sushi does not fall apart as you bite into it. Also the ingredients come together to form a great palate.
From the stylish Asian themed restaurant to tasty sushi Blue Sushi Sake Grill is a delite. A must for anyone who wants sushi in Indianapolis.
