How to Create a Snow Globe for the Holidays
December 16, 2016
If you’re looking for a unique gift for someone this holiday season but don’t have a lot to spend, this do-it-yourself snow globe is a quick and easy present. These low cost materials can be found at Michael’s and other local craft stores.
Materials
- Mason jar
- Decoration piece
- Fake snow flakes
- Water
- Glitter (optional)
- Glycerin
- Silicone sealant
Steps
- Take the lid of the mason jar and glue the decoration piece to the bottom of it, so that it sits right side up when the lid is upside down. Another option is to fill the whole mason jar with the water, and add a dash of glycerin. This will allow the snow and glitter to fall slower.
- Place the fake snow and or glitter in the jar.
- Apply the sealant on the lid and tightly close it.
- Enjoy the finished product as a decoration for yourself or as a gift for a friend!
